Members Night: Broadcast and Beers
About this Event
The fourth issue features conversations with Jeff Mills and Kameelah Janan Rasheed; essays on nervous dogs, genetic blueprints, and Kim Gordon's eternal renaissance; whales, Mars, and mathematical jewels with Janna Levin and Natalie Wolchover; Lucy Sante on summer rage; Nathaniel Rich’s data-center noir; ikebana master Kosen Ohtsubo; poetry from Ishion Hutchinson and Shanzhai Lyric's bootleg T-shirts; and more.
The evening will feature a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the magazine, followed by a conversation between acclaimed music writer Jenn Pelly (whose gorgeous profile of Kim Gordon appears in the issue) and our co-editor-in-chief, Joshua Jelly-Schapiro. They’ll discuss punk legends and the art of writing about music, with plenty of time afterward to hang out, flip through the new issue, and celebrate the people who made it. And, as part of your membership, you will also be able to take a copy of Broadcast Issue 04 home with you!
Notably, there will also be plenty of beer. Join us!
