Yin Yoga with live music and storytelling is a unique and deeply enriching experience that combines the meditative practice of Yin Yoga with the soothing sounds of live music and the captivating art of storytelling. Dennis and Kathy are both ethereal, multi instrumentalists and sound healers who recognize the benefit of incorporating live music with the calm, still practice of Yin Yoga. Weaving the storytelling into the practice brings an even deeper dimension resulting in a more relaxed state which opens the energy channels and promotes healing.During this 90 minute workshop, Dennis will play the sitar, flute and a variety of other healing instruments while Kathy leads the class through the Yin shapes, incorporating storytelling along the way. Yin Yoga focuses on long-held, passive poses that target the deep connective tissues, joints, and fascia in the body. The extended holds in each pose allow for a deeper physical and emotional release, cultivating an inward focus resulting in deep meditation and relaxation.
