Grab your partner and your paddle and join us for the Melissa’s Second Chances Pickleball Paw-Off on Saturday, September 19, 2026, from 9:00 AM–12:00 PM at Chicken N Pickle (5901 W. 135th St., Overland Park, KS)!
This fun-filled, rain-or-shine event combines a little friendly competition with a whole lot of second chances. All proceeds directly benefit Melissa’s Second Chances, a 501(c)(3) animal rescue, helping us rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome homeless dogs, cats, and small mammals throughout the Kansas City area.
🏓 Pickleball Tournament
* $100 per team (2 players per team)
* Limited to 24 teams
* Guaranteed at least 3 games
* Round robin play followed by a single-elimination tournament
* Professionally managed by Chicken N Pickle’s tournament staff
* All skill levels are welcome—even if you’re brand new to pickleball!
* Pick a fun team name and compete for bragging rights, trophies… and some delightfully silly prizes! 🥒

Between games, stop by and meet some of Melissa’s Second Chances’ adoptable dogs looking for forever families. Whether you’re hoping to adopt or just need some puppy snuggles, our four-legged friends can’t wait to meet you!

Take your chance on several incredible raffle baskets featuring generous donations from local businesses and community partners. Every ticket purchased helps save lives.
