About this Event
Melissa in De Nile Museum Meetups: The Penn Museum
Join Melissa in De Nile to tour through the Egyptian collection at the University of Pennsylvania Museum. This is not a formal tour of the gallery, just a place for Egyptomaniacs to meet up and see art!
The Penn Museum does have a charge, $23 for adults, $14 for 6-17 year olds, $21 for seniors, $13 for college student, and FREE for Penn students, faculty, and children under 5.
You will have to pay seperately for the ticket to the museum. The fee is just to register your spot for the meetup with Melissa. We will meet in the main lobby at 11 am.
Sadly, the full Egyptian gallery is closed until December 2026. But over 200 Egyptian pieces are on display now in the Ancient Egypt: From Discovery to Display exhibit, so we will be exploring that and the rest of museum.
Melissa in De Nile is an Egyptologist, Archaeologist, and Museum Educator, teaching the world about Ancient Egyptian Art, Archaeology, and History on social media. She has her masters in Egyptian Art and Archaeology, with special interestes in the 18th Dynasty, The Amarna Period, Dogs of Ancient Egypt, and modern Egyptomania.
