Melanin Silent Reading Club

We will be meeting at the Whitby Public Library in the Archives and Local History Gallery on the second floor of the library.

Please note that I am not able to reserve this room.

There is very limited parking at the library.

They do have a paid parking lot right beside the library and it's free on the weekends.

There is a cafe on the main floor of the library called Presse Cafe where you can grab a bite to eat.

This is a BYOB (Bring Your Own Book), audio or Kindle event.

The Melanin Silent Reading Club is a social book club that meets the second Saturday of every month in Scarborough or Durham Region from 11 AM - 2 PM unless otherwise stated.

We also meet the fourth Saturday of every month on ZOOM for a reading sprint from 9 AM - 10:30 AM.

This book club is for BIPOC women only.

You will get a chance to meet other book lovers like yourself, enjoy a meal, add a ton of books to your never ending book list and maybe get some uninterrupted reading time.
