Join us at the Sanctuary at Port Wallis in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, for Mel Farrimond's Songwriters' Circle on NOVEMBER 22nd.This time, Mel is joined by Alanna Matty, Darrel Cameron, and Ian Janes - three talented artists each bringing their own voice, sound, and stories to this intimate concert. Together they’ll create an evening full of connection, conversation, and meaningful music.

ABOUT THE MUSICIANS
Mel Farrimond is a Scottish-born singer-songwriter, whose introspective folk songs, heartfelt, intelligent lyrics and catchy melodies are earning her a loyal following. https://melfarrimond.com/
Alanna Matty is a singer-songwriter, producer and live looping artist. Her latest album, “Subject to Change,” was nominated for pop album of the year by Music Nova Scotia, and the follow-up album, “Epilogue,” is set to come out later this year. https://www.alannamatty.com/
Darrel Cameron is a singer/songwriter, dad, and produces music for other artists under the moniker, "Blue Acres."
Ian Janes - Since he began making records in 1998, Ian has always had his own unmistakable voice as an artist. With 6 East Coast Music Award nominations, 5 Music Nova Scotia Award nominations, plus an ‘Album of the Year’ win, and being named ‘1 of 100 Canadians To Watch’ by MacLean’s magazine, Ian’s output has been well recognized. In October, 2023 Ian was a featured guest artist and co-writer on the single ‘Wonder’ by multi-platinum selling Canadian hip hop artist Classified. In February 2024, ‘Wonder’ reached #3 on the CBC Top 20. ‘Wonder’ samples Ian’s song ‘Everything Right’ (Aielli/Janes) from his album Episode 5. Ian has had multiple cuts with beloved Canadian roots/blues singer Matt Andersen, including one of his most-streamed songs, Something To Lose; as well as So Low, Solo, which is included on the 2023 Juno-nominated album ‘Matt Anderson and the Big Bottle of Joy’. https://www.ianjanes.com/
