Mesquite Arts Theatre is proud to present a Meisner intensive workshop with Meisner certified educator Jesse Parr. The class will be a once-a-week intensive workshop for ten weeks on the introductions, foundations, and advanced elements of the Meisner technique. Students will learn such important acting skills as Active Listening, Reactive Acting, Repetition Work, Pinch and Ouch, Character History, Script Analysis, and, in addition to the Meisner technique, Jesse will be teaching his own pedagogy based in the technique: Worlds of the Character. In addition to the core of the curriculum, Jesse will share insighter thoughts on the process of creating a character during rehearsal, getting into character before/during a show, and the out-of-rehearsal work required to build a character. If you are looking to better your craft and step into the world of masterful acting and storytelling, Mesquite Arts Theatre's Meisner Workshop will give you the tools drawn from the greatest acting technique practiced by professionals to this day.
