MEI Benefit Concert

As the first Marshallese-focused nonprofit founded in Arkansas in 2013, we have been dedicated to helping community members navigate life in Arkansas and the United States through free direct services. Our various programs address educational attainment, health equity, gender-based violence, cultural preservation, crisis response, and nuclear justice advocacy – all of which have had a profound effect on the lives of Marshallese around the nation.

As an intercultural organization, we foster understanding and dialogue among communities by highlighting the unique challenges and historical context of the Marshallese diaspora we serve. We are committed to promoting positive social change.

The benefit concert will bring together supporters, colleagues, and friends from all backgrounds. We welcome those who are new to MEI’s work! The event will serve as an educational opportunity to deepen your understanding of the contributions we make locally, nationally, and internationally. Everyone will gain a better understanding of the issues facing the Marshallese community while joining us in our commitment to advocacy and empowerment.

Come dressed in your island wear and get ready for an incredible event featuring traditional performances by local Marshallese youth and live music by MARK Harmony, renowned throughout the Marshallese diaspora and the islands. Join us for delicious Marshallese foods flown in from the islands—vegetarian options will be available—and take part in a silent auction featuring beautifully woven handicrafts, including necklaces, flowers, and handbags made by skilled artisans in the Marshall Islands.

This event is not just a concert; it is a celebration of community and culture, and a collective effort to support an Arkansas-based organization focused on making a local impact and a global difference.

All proceeds from this event will directly benefit MEI’s advocacy work, essential services, and outreach efforts.
