pleasure palace (Recently Restored) The Jharna that carried excess water from Hauz-e-Shamsi to Nau Lakha Nala and then to the Jamuna. Both repaired by Mohammad Bin Tughlaq in the 14th Century, repaired and added to by Ghazi Ud Din Khan a general of Aurangzeb in the 17th century and later still by Akbar Shah IInd in the early 19th century
Zafar Mahal, built by Akbar Shah the IInd and added to by Bahadur Shah Zafar. This was the summer retreat for the Mughal king and the site for Phool Walon ki Sair Festival, the site that Zafar had reserved for his grave in close proximity to the shrine of Qutub-ud-din Bakhteyaar Kaaki, the patron saint of Delhi are all located close to each other in this area.
