Mehmooni by Maman - The Persian Supper Club in Eastbourne

We're so excited to be returning to Cafe Joon for our first supper club of 2026! This time we're serving up some Persian classics, including Ghormeh Sabzi and Mirza Ghassemi, the perfect combination for warmer days.

Weather permitting, we'll love to take some of the Mehmooni to the terrace!

As always, this will be a classic Mehmooni hosted by Mama where we'll end the evening with a sweet dessert, fresh fruit and plenty of Persian tea and, of course, beautiful company and conversation.

It has been too long, and we really can't wait to gather around the table with you again. 💛

Includes a multi-course Persian meal, welcome drink, dessert and Persian tea and fruit.

Welcome

• Sharbateh Albaloo: refreshing sour cherry mocktail

Starters

• Zeytoon Parvardeh: olives with pomegranate molasses, walnuts & herbs
• Mirza Ghassemi: smokey aubergine with tomato & garlic
• Noon Panir Sabzi Gerdoo: soft bread, feta, walnuts and a garden of fresh herbs

Main

• Gormeh Sabzi: slow-cooked lamb and herbs with dried lime & beans (served with saffron-infused Persian rice)
• Tachin: saffron rice cake layered with tender chicken and a delicious cripy crust
• Salad Shirazi: finely chopped cucumber, tomato, onion, lemon & mint

Dessert

• Maman’s Marble cake: a light buttery vanilla and chocolate marble cake (served with traditional Persian tea and fresh fruit)

• This is an alcohol- free event. BYOB.
• Soft drinks and coffees will be available to purchase at the café.
