A Gathering in Solidarity for Nowruz – The Persian New Year, we have a special Mehfil-e-Rose Hill with The Persian String Collective, featuring special guests.Music • Poetry • Reflection • Community
At this poignant time of year, we invite you to gather in solidarity with our Persian community to mark Nowruz, Persian New Year — as a moment of reflection, hope and new beginnings.
Join Persian String Collective, in collaboration with One World Orchestra, for an evening of music, poetry, and ritual, marking ‘Nowruz’ — a 3,000-year-old festival rooted in the ancient religion of Zoroastrianism, in honour of spring’s arrival.
The evening will feature a rich blend of traditional and contemporary sounds, a traditional Sofreh Haft-Seen, symbolising new beginnings, and a sharing of Persian heritage through music and verse. This will be a deeply moving journey through Persian culture.
The Ensemble
Persian String Collective brings together musicians of Iranian descent to create a transportive cultural experience, inviting audiences into the heart of Persian heritage, renewal, and celebration. The ensemble will be joined by guest artists Raghad Haddad, Fergus Paton, and Jim Pinchen in collaboration with One World Orchestra.
