A night of Americana, Country and mischief!
Megan and Shane are a husband-and-wife Americana duo whose music is rooted in shared history, long roads, and the kind of hard-won growth that only comes from staying in it together. Married for 12 years and writing songs side-by-side for more than 15, their work reflects a rare creative partnership built on trust, evolution, and a deep respect for the craft of songwriting.
Their upcoming album, Butterfly, is their most intentional and expansive work to date. Self-produced by Shane and mixed by multi-Grammy-winning engineer Brandon Bell (Brandi Carlile, the Highwomen, Billy Strings), the record features an outstanding group of collaborators, including multi-Grammy winner Jenee Fleenor on fiddle and Katie Larson (The Accidentals) on cello. Friends and musicians from across the country—St. Louis, Minnesota, Los Angeles, and Nashville—contributed to the project, giving the album a lived-in, communal feel that mirrors the band’s journey.
That journey recently took Megan and Shane back to the road on a Route 66 tour, reconnecting them with old friends and creative roots across the Southwest and Midwest. In Arizona, they reunited with acclaimed photographer Jim Louvau, who captured the promotional images for Butterfly, further grounding the album in a sense of place, memory, and movement. After years in Nashville building relationships and sharpening their sound, the duo ultimately found themselves most at home in the Midwest—where distance, reflection, and perspective reshaped both their lives and their music.
Megan and Shane have earned consistent critical recognition for their work. Their album Daughter of Country received strong reviews and was nominated for Best Roots Album of the Year by No Depression, and both Daughter of Country and Peaks and Valleys charted on Americana Radio. They were also featured performers on WMOT’s “Finally Friday” for Peaks and Valleys, further solidifying their presence within the Americana community.
At its core, Butterly is a record about growth, change, and learning to embrace the beauty of the in-between moments. The songs explore what it means to move through difficult seasons and emerge stronger—both as a couple and as individuals—without losing the ability to laugh along the way. Honest, resilient, and deeply human, the album captures Megan and Shane at a point of clarity: seasoned enough to reflect, brave enough to evolve, and grounded enough to know exactly where they belong.
