About this Event
Do state academic standards have a place in mountain adventures? We think so!
Some of the most treasured Naturalists of the past have found hands-on experiences to be the key to learning about the environment. During this 1-day course intended for grade school teachers, participants will find creative ways to build CO state academic standards into our adventures in Rocky Mountain National Park, and how to bring those adventures back to their classrooms. Come to class ready to hike, observe, document, and make the most of a day in the mountains!
Who: Grade school teachers, home school educators, and instructional coaches. This is a Level II course. Expect short-distance walks throughout the day, primarily on level terrain.
