About this Event
Xerces Ambassadors teach that going beyond native plants to create habitats for invertebrate animals is the next step in helping to prevent the increasing loss of pollinators and other beneficial animal species. Learn how you can make a difference with some simple and not-so-simple changes in the way you manage your yard.
Meet Dr. Woody Kotch, retired clinical professor and administrator from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. Since retiring in 2020, he’s become a passionate advocate for biodiversity and climate action. Woody serves on the Media Borough EAC, is a Pennsylvania Master Naturalist, Tyler Arboretum docent, and Xerces Society Ambassador. From his near-zero-emissions home, he’s created a thriving pollinator garden—and works to inspire others to help save the biosphere we all depend on.
