Meet the UMD Insect Zoo

Filbert Street Garden is excited to welcome the University of Maryland Insect Zoo for a special one-hour, hands-on program at the garden.
About this Event

The UMD Insect Zoo introduces people of all ages to the fascinating world of insects and other arthropods. Their collection includes everything from beetles and grasshoppers to mantises, millipedes, spiders, and more. This is a great opportunity for kids, families, and curious adults to get an up-close look at some amazing critters—and maybe even meet a few creatures you never thought you'd be excited to see!
Because space is very limited, please only reserve tickets if you plan to attend. If your plans change, PLEASE let us know or cancel your registration as soon as possible so we can make your spots available to another family.
Come curious and ready to meet some bugs!
