Meet the Maker: Julien Fayard! Wine Tasting @ Sasha's Wine Bar on Demun $75

Sasha's Wine Bar on DeMun* will be hosting Julien Fayard - winemaker of celebrated wineries Covert Wines in Coombsville, California and Julien Fayard Wines in Napa Valley - for a wine tasting event on Friday, March 27th at 6:30 p.m.

We are thrilled for you to join us for our wine event: "Meet the Makers!" Sip and savor through 8 amazing wines from Napa Valley, California, Southern France, and cool climate California. Your wine is paired with a delightful grazing board from Chef Geovanni Robles. Hosted by our Certified Sommelier, Denise Mueller, and sales representatives Dana Eliason and Jennifer Johnson. Julien will be here to share history, winemaking insight, and signing bottles!

Short Biography

Julien Fayard has been the winemaker behind more than 20 top Napa brands—including Purlieu, Brion, and Covert (where he’s a partner)—yet until recently, his name had never appeared on a front label. The French-born, Bordeaux-trained alum of the Philippe Melka circle, with experience at Lafite Rothschild and Smith Haut Lafitte, is now stepping into the spotlight with Julien Fayard Wines.

“I’ve built my reputation making other people’s wines,” he says. “With this project, the wines reflect a more personal, emotional connection.” He compares launching his own label to an artist signing a painting—an expression of pride that also invites greater scrutiny with his name directly on the bottle.
