About this Event
Sign-up in-person for a unique tour to Meet the Goats! Look for the Welcome Table upon arrival.
This summer, a herd of goats will begin clearing overgrown invasive brush, specifically Buckthorn, from several vacant lots located next to Ramona Park in Flint’s historic Metawanenee Hills neighborhood. Miss our event in July? No worries, you have the opportunity to come meet the goats again! RSVP your tickets to let us know you'll be joining the fun.
September 5th is a TENTATIVE date and may change. Folks who RSVP will be updated via email with any changes.
The Genesee County Land Bank, in collaboration with our partners, will be hosting this event in Ramona Park (1546 Stone Street) for the 2nd round of goat-grazing to eradicate Buckthorn. During the event, we will have family-friendly entertainment, local Flint food trucks, complimentary snacks, discussions about the future for Ramona Park, goat-errific swag, and more!
This project is an innovative and environmentally friendly way to create access to this neighborhood green space for everyone. In partnership with the community, we are transforming Stone Street into a vibrant, active, park-like haven for the neighborhood, together!
