Set in 1905 East Texas, Through Many Dangers follows a young Methodist preacher who discovers that bootlegging, corruption, and violence have taken hold of his new town. Before long, he is carrying a Colt .45 and earning a reputation as the “pistol-packing preacher.”
🏆 Goodman’s Texas Tales novels bring forgotten episodes from Texas history back to life through extensively researched historical fiction. The Last Man won the 2024 Spur Award and a 2024 Will Rogers Medallion.
