Welcome to Camellia, Louisiana
Career-driven midwife Tenley Robin never planned on moving back to Cajun country or assuming guardianship of her teenage nephew. But, mais la.
Once her new role as a foster mom begins disrupting the forced detachment she’s mastered over the years, Tenley feels compelled to double down on her anti-dating policy, especially with Ethan’s adorably wholesome football coach always hanging around and offering his help.
JD Bourgeois is eager to settle down, but crashing dinner at his favorite student’s Mawmaw and Pop’s is the closest he’s gotten to family life … until he lays eyes on Ethan’s Aunt Tenley, and his prospects begin looking up. It’s too bad “Coach JD: Former Pro Tight End” defaults to “Coach Thirsty: Desperate and Awkward Loser” any time she’s around.
Despite Tenley’s reservations, JD’s determined to sweep her off her feet—even if it involves wingman schemes, shirtless yard work, emotional custody hearings, and exercises in chastity.
Meanwhile, watching Camellia’s golden boy tackle all her problems leaves Tenley struggling to remember her initial reasons for avoiding relationships. Now she’s facing the impossible: ignoring their undeniable chemistry and resisting JD’s advances or giving in and risking another complication in her and Ethan’s already complex lives.
They may be facing a third-and-long situation, but JD’s willing to call for a Hail Mary if it’ll get both Ethan and Tenley on his team.
Third and Ten is a minty romance with Cajun and Catholic themes. This first installment in the Camellia Rom-Com series is also Marie Veillon’s debut novel.

Author's Note/Content Warnings:
This novel could be categorized as a “minty rom-com” or a closed-door romance with the door cracked open. It incorporates Christian themes, especially Catholic views on prayer, marriage and family, and chastity.
It includes heavy innuendo and discussions of sex, chastity, fertility awareness, and natural family planning, as well as some semi-steamy and fade-to-black love scenes, implied nudity, crude humor, and mild language; however, any explicit spice happens off-page. If it were a movie, it would probably be rated PG-13.
Additionally, please be aware of the following content and depictions, which may be controversial or triggering for some readers: pregnancy and childbirth; women’s health, especially postpartum; body-consciousness; alcoholism; family loss and death; cancer; adoption, legal guardianship and child custody; and parental abandonment. It is my intent to treat these topics with the sensitivity they deserve, and I promise to deliver a HEA in the end.
