Silvia Karamfilova is a Bulgarian artist concentrating on painting selected topics and events that have impressed her. She places the biggest emphasis and effort in finding an interesting a topic through which to be able to tell a given story, as well as to ponder on cardinal philosophical and symbolic categories in life, thus focusing on the illustrative, carrying hidden messages, metaphors and allegories. Thus, Silvia's work falls within the realm of symbolic art, Some of the topics she focuses on include: ports, persons, windows, doors and bridges, symbolic cities, words, trees and flowers and others.
