Meet the Artist: Kate Griffith of Her Unruly Art

Join us for our next evening of our “Meet the Artist” event in the Speakeasy - a cozy, informal evening of conversation, creativity, and community.
Meet October’s featured artist, Kate Griffith of Her Unruly Art. A passionate, daily hiker, Kate spent 45 years trying to figure out what she was going to be when she grew up before finally finding her answer in watercolor. Inspired by her deep connection to the natural world - and especially her love story with trees - Kate creates original watercolor paintings that celebrate the wonder, simplicity, and joy found in nature. Every piece is a framed, signed original, with Kate’s work offering a reminder that sometimes the simplest things are the most extraordinary.
And yes, there will be ghosts and witches! Kate’s witches are a newer addition to her work and have already been getting plenty of attention. Check out her work ahead of time on Facebook at Her Unruly Art and on Instagram at @HerUnrulyArt
What to expect on October 7:
6:00: drinks + mingling
6:30: relaxed artist conversation
7:00: hang out + browse art + chat
Grab a drink from The Republic, settle in by the fire, and get to know Kate and the story behind Her Unruly Art in a relaxed, conversational setting. Guests will also have the chance to purchase original artwork throughout the evening. Kate accepts cash, card, Apple Pay, and Venmo.
