We’re delighted to welcome two special guests from Norway, Sven Håkon Jørgensen and Inge Engeland Johansen, to our monthly meeting at Spirit Lutheran Church on Main Street in.
🎶 Experience Norway’s Living Traditions
Sven is a talented maker and player of the traditional Norwegian Jews harp. He’ll perform traditional tunes and share the fascinating stories behind the music, including the people, places, and cultural traditions of the beautiful Setesdal Valley, whose intangible cultural heritage is recognized by UNESCO.
🌍 Discover Norway’s Hidden Gems
Inge brings more than 30 years of experience in the travel industry and a passion for helping people discover Norway’s famous destinations and lesser-known treasures. He’ll share travel stories and introduce exciting tours planned for 2027 and 2028 through his company, Ut i Verden (“Out into the World”), which specializes in themed and cultural travel.

Longtime friends of 50 years, Sven and Inge both call Arendal, Norway, home. Together, they offer a wonderful opportunity to experience Norway through its music, stories, people, and places.
