Meet bestselling author R.L. Stine and get your favorite books signed as we celebrate the release of his newest juvenile fiction novels, Shark Night and Slime Doesn’t Pay. This special event begins with a short book talk followed by an audience Q&A before signing.

R.L. Stine is the author of many series of mystery, horror, and fantasy books for children and young adults and the creator of the Goosebumps series, one of the bestselling children’s series ever and inspiration for a television show and a feature film. In 2024 he was named a Grand Master by the Mystery Writers of America, one of the mystery world’s highest honors. He has more than 400 million English-language books in print, plus international editions in thirty-two languages, making him one of the most popular children’s authors of all time.


REGISTRATION POLICY: Due to the popularity of our programs and events, those registered for the program or event MUST show up on time at the start of the program or event for guaranteed admittance. If registered persons are not present to be checked in by 5 minutes after the program or event start time, their spots will be given to the waitlist. Please note that only participating children need to be registered - accompanying adults and non-participating siblings do not need to register a spot for themselves.

WAITLIST POLICY: The waitlist for programs and events is now IN PERSON on the DAY OF THE PROGRAM OR EVENT and available once the Library opens at the Information Desk of the Children’s Room or at the entrance to the event. If spots become available at program or event time, they will be given to those on the waitlist who are present at check in, in the order listed.

UNATTENDED MINOR POLICY: Children through age eleven must be accompanied by a parent or responsible caregiver who is at least fourteen years of age. Parent or caregiver will remain in the immediate vicinity of the child at all times.
