Join us for the premiere of the film, Meet Me At Ridgeway, followed by a panel discussion moderated by Nouman Ashraf, Associate Professor and Academic Director at the Rotman School of Management.
Ridgeway Plaza has become Mississauga’s infamous and controversial hub for cultural heritage and cuisine. With its iconic restaurants as our guide, this film asks how we can learn from Ridgeway Plaza to create more representative community spaces, increase municipal and voter engagement, and eat mouth-watering food along the way. Join Mississauga residents Laila and Marium Vahed as they interview business owners and each other to understand the connection between their daily lives, the choices of municipal government, and the power they hold to influence their city and community spaces through voting in the municipal elections on October 26th, 2026.
