***Sorry for long post, but PLEASE READ! WE WILL BE VISITING CONNECTICUT/NY! We are coming to the area for Ichabod’s stem cell therapy. PLEASE COME SEE US! OCTOBER 20th!I want to welcome and thank my new followers. A bit about myself and story; I am a Clinical Social Worker/Therapist. After adopting Ichabod, I wrote a children’s book about his rescue(leaving the dog meat part out). I wrote the book as a tool for parents, teachers and therapists to teach young children compassion and empathy towards dogs. It’s titled “Ichabod- Where is the Glory?” The book tells his journey and his feelings surrounding the experience. I teach children about having empathy towards dogs, dog safety/how to approach and touch a dog, and how to read dog body language. When I visit libraries I talk with parents about how to raise children and dogs together.
Sarge, my big German Shepherd, is also a “special needs” rescue from China. I wrote a book about his journey home, and joining a pack of dogs who are all different, and from different places… will he fit in? It’s titled, “Sarge Finds His Place”. Both are available on Amazon.
Proceeds of my books are donated to helping Malamute dog meat trade survivors get out of China and into loving homes… When I adopted Ichabod, I wanted to pay it forward. I will post more on that in a later post.
PLEASE COME SEE US AT THE FERGUSON LIBRARY IF YOU ARE IN THE AREA!! See link
