In 2022, Author Anne Spry collaborated with writing partner Cheri Battrick to publish a book of photos and poetry called Finally Noticing, which won a Kansas Authors Club book award for design. In 2025 she wrote and published Riding Rainbows through the Storms: Finding Perspective and Hope by Journaling Through Traumas. She then collaborated with good friend Thea Rademacher of Flint Hills Publishing to launch Taking the Long Way Home: A Peace Corps Memoir of Brazil, followed by Living on Laughter: A Memoir of a Former Humor Columnist and Newspaper Publisher. Spry was the state president of Kansas Authors Club from 2023-2025.
