Whether you're interested in playing casual board games with your friends and family, or are looking to bring your RPG group together to adventure to the edge of 2024 and beyond, Meeple Madness is the place to be! We'll have plenty of open tables for gaming while the Countdown to Midnight rolls on. We'll even have Sparkling Cider, so you can toast the New Year with all the non-alcoholic glory that can fit in a plastic cup. Throughout the day and into the night, we'll have events, light bites and sweet treats, and more!Below is a list of some of the events we've planned:
7:00pm to 10:50pm - Learn to Play Games - We are offering Learn-to-Plays for various games throughout the evening! This is a great chance to learn some new games while counting down to the New Year! We will have sign-up in the shoppe starting at 7:00pm.
- 7:00pm to 7:50pm - Cities and Skyrockets
- 8:00pm to 8:50pm - Life in Reterra and This Game is Killer
- 9:00pm to 9:50pm - Faraway and Tortuga
- 10:00pm to 10:50pm - Seaside and Nekojima
8:00pm - Light Bites and Sweet Treats to Bring in the New Year
We'll provide an assortment of light snacks and other goodies as we play games and enjoy the final leg of our journey to 2025.
10:30pm - Crew-Picks Tickets Distributed
At 10:30pm we'll begin distributing Staff Pick tickets for the 11:00 PM drawing.
Our Meeple Madness Crew has handpicked some of their favorite games to feature in this special drawing, and now you have a chance to take one home!
Starting at 10:00 PM, each guest in the shoppe will receive three tickets for the drawing. You can decide which game or games you’d like to win by placing one half of each ticket into the corresponding drawing bucket. If you have your heart set on a game like Trek 10, you can drop all three tickets into that bucket. Or, if you’d like to spread your chances, you can choose up to three different titles to try for.
This is a fantastic opportunity to win an amazing game loved by our crew and discover something new for your next game night!
11:00pm - Crew-Picks Drawing Begins
You must be present to win, and each guest is limited to one win for the evening.
To ensure more guests have a chance to win, we kindly ask that winnings be limited to one game per guest, and ideally one per family or household. While we won’t be checking IDs, if your family has already won a game, we respectfully ask that you decline to reveal your winning ticket in any remaining drawings for the evening. This way, we can help more homes welcome great games for the New Year.
11:30pm - Spiel des Georgia Winner Announced
As a bonus, we’ll be announcing our Spiel des Georgia winner for 2024, and we’ll be giving away a copy to one lucky winner, drawn from all tickets that haven’t won anything yet for the evening.
11:55pm - Final thoughts on 2024 from Dave and Priya
Priya and Dave, co-owners of Meeple Madness, will give a send off to another wonderful year at Meeple Madness and welcome in the New Year! We’ll also begin passing around Sparkling Cider to all our guests
Midnight - Let’s Toast
We'll say our good-byes to 2024, and hellos to 2025 with a toast of Sparkling Cider. And, who knows, maybe we'll all get together and sing Auld Lang Syne in an unintentional key!
1:00 AM - Shoppe Closes
Every party has to end sometime, but we’ll be back at it at 11:00 AM January 1st to start of 2025 with all kinds of gaming goodness.
