In a world filled with noise, distraction, and constant pressure, meditation offers a way back to yourself.
Meditation for Real Life is a practical and experiential workshop designed to help you build or deepen a meditation practice that feels supportive, approachable, and sustainable in everyday life. Whether you’re completely new to meditation, have struggled to stay consistent, or already have a practice and want to reconnect with it in a deeper way, this workshop will meet you where you are.
Together, we’ll explore what meditation really is (and what it isn’t), common myths and misconceptions, and simple ways to create a practice that works in real life rather than becoming another thing to “get right.” Through guided meditation, reflection, discussion, and practical tools, you’ll learn how to approach meditation with more ease, self-compassion, and consistency.
This workshop includes several guided meditation experiences, including grounding meditation, body scan meditation, mantra meditation, and loving-kindness (metta) meditation. You’ll leave with a clearer understanding of how to begin, sustain, or deepen your own personal practice in a way that feels authentic and supportive to you.
No experience is necessary. Just come as you are.
What We’ll Explore:
-What meditation is and why it matters
-Common myths and misconceptions about meditation
-How to build a sustainable daily practice
-Working with distraction, restlessness, and self-judgment
-The role of breath, mantra, silence, and awareness
-Creating rituals and rhythms that support consistency
-Approaching meditation with compassion instead of perfection
What to Bring:
-Water bottle
-Notebook or journal
-Pen
Mats and meditation cushions will be provided, and a limited number of comfortable chairs will be available for those who prefer additional support. You’re also welcome to bring your own cushion, mat, or meditation supplies if that helps you feel more comfortable.
This workshop is designed to be grounded, welcoming, and accessible to all. There is no pressure to “clear your mind,” sit perfectly still, or have any prior meditation experience. The invitation is simply to slow down, become present, and begin building a more supportive relationship with yourself through practice.
