Childrens Meditation Class with Laurie & Leigh

The Children’s Meditation class is a perfect place to introduce meditation to children and promote inner strength and emotional well-being.
In these classes, children learn simple meditations, as well as methods to calm their minds and deal with negative feelings. Classes include a short discussion about everyday experiences relevant to children, guided meditation, and Buddhist wisdom teachings to foster habits such as kindness, cooperation, patience, and giving.
Suitable ages: 5 years – 12 years.

About the teachers:
A member of Vajrapani Kadampa Buddhist Centre since 2003, Leigh guides the drop-in meditation classes on Wednesday evenings. Having a great love for Dharma and a deep delight in the power of meditation Leigh offers enthusiasm and encouragement to those who pop in for a Meditation Class.
Laurie has been a dedicated member of Vajrapani Kadampa Buddhist Centre for over ten years. She has a deep love for Buddha’s teachings and is passionate about applying them in practical ways to the challenges of busy family life. Drawing on her experience as a parent, educator, and teacher, Laurie shares her insights with warmth, enthusiasm, and conviction, inspiring others to find peace and meaning in everyday living.

Please arrive a few minutes before the event starts to register and settle in. We have a book shop to browse, water on sale. There is secure and ample parking.
