Rumored to have existed in some form as long ago as the second century, Coq Au Vin was popularized in its current form in 1600s France before eventually being brought to the states by Julia Childs in the 1960s. In classic French Form, Coq Au Vin is chicken thighs slow stewed in white wine and butter alongside a medley of rustic root vegetables. Served over a bed of wild rice risotto, this is a decadent and delicious dish sure to satisfy.
Lamb Stew:
Soups and stews feature prominently in the cuisine of almost every culture throughout history. Pottage In particular became a staple sometime during the 10th century and frequently featured as the first course in many feasts. This Pottage is a flavorful blend of lamb, garden vegetables and spices, garnished with fresh herbs.
