Medicine Women of Soul - a concert, a talk, an experience.
We have created this event to share the medicine of women in soul music - live and intimate original music from Laisa Loved (AUS), Sister Stone (U.S.A), and FAERA (AUS). To create a deeper culture further of being an expressive and vocal woman. Inspire the act of songwriting and singing as a personal way to interpret and interface with the world and our space within it. Original songs will be shared with guidance in songwriting tips and individual processes of creation!
Vocalists
Laisa Loved is a Vocalist and Producer based between Byron Bay and Melbourne. With a strength in soul improvisation, reading the field to conduct lyrical matter that tells the story of emotion, time and experience. Her first E.P is ready to roll this year with countless original productions, collaborations, and improvs to international beat makers. Uniting humanity through soul is her north star.
Sister Stone hailing from Detroit, Michigan weaves together medicine hip-hop, soul, ritual, and story, weaving our relationship to self, the earth and unseen realms, pointing us towards our collective healing, sensuality and integrity as leaders and changemakers. Her arrival to Australia marks a bridging of worlds and communities.
FAERA is an Australian genre-fluid artist blending neo-soul, hip-hop, and alt pop textures with poetic lyricism and cinematic depth. Rooted in themes of healing, spirituality, and collective awareness, her music creates intimate soundscapes that feel both grounded and otherworldly.
This event is hosted within the creative walls of Kulcha Jam at 1 Acacia St Byron Bay in the Industrial Estate.
