✨ Winter Solstice Ceremony – Honoring the Lodge Indoors ✨As the cold settles in, we’ll gather indoors to share the practices we would normally hold in an Inipi (sweat lodge). With over 20 years of Sundancing and tending lodge, I, am honored to guide this ceremony in a good way.
We’ll set the altar and directional flags, load the pipe, and call on the spirits with compassion. Together, we’ll sing prayer songs, spirit-calling songs, healing songs, and flute songs—many of which haven’t been heard in this area for a very long time, if ever.
There will be time for everyone to pray, listen, and receive. We’ll pass the stone, offer healing with the wing, sing a Winter Solstice thank-you song, and close by smoking the pipe outdoors with a spirit-sending song.
I am part of the Métis Nation of the US—the Plains Métis—who adopted the Lakota ways without trying to change them. I offer this ceremony with deep respect and gratitude to my teachers and lineage.
This gathering is donation-based or free. Any funds above the cost of the space will be given to my intercessor/medicine man.
Please bring rattles or drums if you have them—extras will be available.
