With nearly 30 years of experience, Lynn will guide you on a sacred and magical journey to meet and birth an incredible new ally - your very own Horse drum.This is a special, dedicated workshop focused solely on the medicine, wisdom, and spirit of the Horse. All drums birthed during this day will be 16” frame drums, crafted from the same horse hide, creating a powerful sense of shared lineage, herd energy, and collective connection among the group.
We keep our workshops intimate, with a small group size, so that each participant receives the care, attention, and personal guidance needed to make the experience deeply meaningful and truly special.
The workshop is held at Caer Corhrain Shamanic Centre on the Isle of Sheppey, Kent - a beautiful heart-centred space, rich in vibrant energy and deeply loved by all who walk its land.
Your drum is far more than an instrument - it is a trusted companion and a powerful medicine tool. It will support your healing, carry you on profound journeys, and deepen your connection to the oneness of all life. To birth your own drum is a deeply rewarding and ceremonial experience, as you weave your intention, love, and energy into every stage of its creation.
Each drum is made in the traditional way, with the lacing cut from the same horse hide as the drum head, honouring the spirit of the Horse and ensuring its medicine flows through the whole drum.
During this full-day workshop, you will be guided through the entire drum-birthing process:
• Cutting the hide and lacing
• Punching the holes
• Honouring the spirits of the Horse and the Tree
• Birthing your drum in ceremony
Once your drum is complete, you will be guided on a journey to meet and connect with its spirit, allowing a relationship to begin between you and your drum.
Important Information
In this workshop, you will complete every step yourself - cutting the drum head, punching the holes, and preparing your own lacing - so you fully experience the ancient art of drum birthing.
