Medicine, Mystery and The Macabre: A Creepy Medical History Walking Tour
About this Event
Overview
Medicine, Mystery & the Macabre is an after-dark walking tour exploring some of the strangest, darkest, and most fascinating corners of medical history.
Over the course of approximately one hour, we’ll wander through historic downtown Pulaski while diving into bizarre remedies, outdated medical treatments, unusual beliefs about the body, mysterious deaths, folklore, and stories that blur the line between medicine, superstition, and the macabre.
This is not a traditional ghost tour or a tour specifically about Pulaski history. Instead, Pulaski provides the atmospheric backdrop for a broader journey through creepy medical history and the unusual ways people have understood illness, healing, death, and the human body over time.
Expect a mix of true historical accounts, strange medical practices, unsettling stories, folklore, and a few eerie surprises along the way.
The tour is designed to be fascinating, a little creepy, and fun rather than intensely frightening.
