Medicine Drum Birthing Ceremony

Join us for an amazing in-person experience celebrating the powerful Medicine Drum Birthing Ceremony. This special event brings people together to honor traditions and experience the magic of birthing your own medicine drum with your very own love, passion & energy entwined in its being. The creation of the drum is a Sacred act, bringing deeper awareness to your own creative process in which we honor the animal whose hide we are working with, the tree, the journey and the gift of life itself.

The drum making process is a birth of the Self, an opportunity to bear witness to the unravelling and re-weaving of your heart-song and spirit path.

Led by the four directions, we will delve into time-honored Sacred ways and follow the guidance of the center altar and the medicine wheel.

As a final passage, Mia the drum Doula will drum over each newly born drum to pass on the transmission gifted to her by the Original Mother of Drums, holding ancient codes for a new time.

We will be making your choice of a 14", 16" or 18" round Horse-hide drum with salvaged yellow cedar frame and the mallet.
