Medicinal Roots with Gradey from the Medicine Garden

Join Gradey Proctor from the Medicine Garden for an exploration of the underground world of the plant, the root! As we move towards winter, perennial plants send their energy into the earth creating the opportunity for us to dig and divide plants, as well as harvest medicine. We will explore a half dozen medicinal plants by going through their medicinal uses, different ways of making root medicine, the botany of underground structures and most importantly, how to do all this while keeping our plants thriving.

***All classes this fall will be held in our greenhouse Hoop House 2, which is located out in the yard of the nursery, near the trees and small fruits. It is a large greenhouse that functions as a covered outdoor area. If the weather cold, we will have heaters going, but please remember to dress so that you are comfortable during the presentation.***
