🌞 MEDICINA: A Summer Solstice Portal

The Summer Solstice is the sacred turning of the wheel… the moment when the light reaches its peak, the Earth pulses with life, and something ancient within us is invited to awaken.

MEDICINA is a full-day alchemical journey of dance, breath, meditation and embodied celebration… a space to ground, release, open, activate and remember the medicine of our own body, heart and spirit.

Through bioenergetics, chi gong, conscious connection, cacao, ecstatic dance, medicine music and a nourishing fruit social, we gather to honour the Sun, the Earth, and the wild aliveness within.

Our all-day Summer Solstice event culminates in an open-air Ecstatic Dance & Cacao Ceremony featuring:

Come dance on the Earth, beneath the Summer sky, and celebrate the longest day of the year in movement, music, ritual and joy.

PLEASE NOTE: All sessions are weather permitting. In case of the rain forecast being 45% or more, we will cancel the dance at least 4h prior to the start, email all attendees and issue a full refund.

1. Please come already dressed in comfortable clothing suitable for movement/fitness and dress in layers. Bring a set of dry clothes/small towel as you will probably get sweaty during the session. Toilets are available at the venue but there are no separate changing rooms.

2. We dance barefoot, in soft indoor shoes or grip socks.

3. A reusable water bottle. Tap water & lemon water refill available at the venue.

4. Yoga mat.

5. Packed Food/ Snacks to have during the breaks, complimentary tea/coffee will be available. There are plenty of shops and cafes nearby.

-We will send another email via Eventbrite with location & map 1h before the start time.

-If cycling, you can bring your bike to the dance location.

-Please note that pedestrian gates around park are locked at 9.30pm so if you have a bike or mobility issues, please leave the park by 9:30pm, otherwise you'll need climb over the locked gates to get out of the park which is possible just a bit trickier :)

-If driving, please check the parking parkopedia.com

We will check the weather forecast closer to the time and will send an email update via Eventbrite to all registered attendees, however do dress in layers and bring waterproofs with a hood/umbrella in case of a light rain to protect the headphones. In case of a heavy rain forecast, we will cancel the dance at least 3h prior to the event .

1. Loose-fitting clothes that let you move your body and free yourself. Dress in layers in case you get warm/cool. Bring a warm jumper/ jacket and waterproof jacket with a hood in case of a light rain.

2. Ensure that you wear comfortable shoes and your feet are warm though you are welcome to dance barefoot. Please note that were we dance is a bit wild, has long grass so don't expect a perfect lawn.

3. Reusable water bottle, extra water to keep hydrated and maybe a flask with a hot drink and something to eat after the dance.

4. Towel or Blanket for picnic, snacks & non-alcoholic beverages.

5 . Bug spray (citronella works great!) we will provide some also :)

6 . Sun cream/ hat in case of very hot weather!

7 . Antihistamine if you suffer from hay fever.

8. Flashlight as it might be dark on the way back from the location.

CHILDREN: Unfortunately, these sessions are not suitable for children. Though the evening dance, MEDICINA, you are welcome to bring 1 child per paying adult. Please contact us if you have any questions.

About Dancing with Trees

Often, we have an experience of Nature of being "out there", outside of us. And in our busy lives, we don’t make time for a deeper connection.

This Summer Solstice workshop is an opportunity to slow down... and dive into Nature, to dive into Her.

We will be utilising Bioenergetic Alchemy techniques to open the body up so that we can feel the sensitivity of Nature, of the Sky, the Trees, our Breath, our Being...Bioenergetic Alchemy is powerful work and extremely effective for releasing stress and tension, helping us to ground, and bringing us more into the present moment.

This workshop is a synthesis of Bioenergetics, Chi Gong, Eco-therapy, Shamanism and Tantra. It is inspired by a 3-day Vision Quest I was on in Wales in 2013 through the Humanistic Alchemy training.

1:30pm-3:30pm

Expect guided meditations, somatic grounding, centring and communication practices. We will also be inviting in healing platonic touch, activating the healing endorphins such as serotonin and oxytocin, and exploring a mini MUSH, which is a platonic "Cuddle in Nature" workshop.

*Please note: although it is a touch-positive workshop, you never have to touch or be touched. The invitation is attuning to your own body and boundaries.

Creating a safe and respectful space, we will explore simple exercises aimed at strengthening our ability to connect to one another and to become more comfortable with honesty. Learn to honour your personal boundaries, learn to enjoy your desire for contact, and to communicate with authenticity.

This workshop is an invitation to the total experience of life, multi-dimensional human life! The main focus of our work is on deepening our connection to the Heart! The workshop is an invitation to slow down and bring your awareness back into the present, back to your body and felt sense, and to simple, yet precious moments.

The Conscious Connections workshop is about:

• Developing our sensitivity to ourselves and what we are experiencing,
• Allowing ourselves to be, and to be seen,-
• Developing love and acceptance for ourselves,
• Becoming aware of the ways we shut down.

Tapping into the Universal & Ancient traditions worldwide, celebrating the Summer Solstice, we're offering a new event to Journey deep into the Medicine of movement.

There is so much depth and beauty in the world in these days and we are aligning with some beautiful music to free ourselves, find our roar and feel the luminosity that we truly are.

This Ecstatic Dance journey is a dance-as-meditation that has been practised throughout the ages, connecting us with something far greater than our individual selves.

This event is an invitation to come and dance to OPEN-UP & Shine YOUR LIGHT! to release city stress, dance in more joy, and make new friends - all accompanied by a transformational mystical euphoric & uplifting dance music set to connect us deeply with our dance, our hearts, and our creativity.

We'll be including delicious ceremonial grade cacao and a beautiful cacao ceremony/guided meditation facilitated by Seth to connect us with our body, our heart, and positive intention.

No prior experience of ecstatic dance is necessary. All are welcome.

Our Ecstatic Dance sessions have guidelines of: No booze, No Shoes, No phones, No Chit Chat, Move However You Wish, Respect yourself and others. (More info about what is Ecstatic Dance - further down)

No late comers please. This is a shared journey from the beginning to the end and we aim to create a safe container for all dancers. If you are more than 30 min late from the start of the session, unfortunately you won't be able to join the session, please respect this and arrive on time. Thank you

***Please note: this is a zero-tolerance drug and alcohol space! This is one of the very few spaces where Londoners can go out dancing on a Saturday night in London in a safe and clean sober space. Please respect this, and please don't come drunk or high as you will be refused entry or asked to leave. No refunds!***
