This International Games Month, get streaming and build your audience in the Media Lab!
About this Event

Crack the code of gaining streaming influence and join us this International Games Month in the Media Lab! Twitch is the ultimate arena for live-streaming content. With more than 2 million people watching at any given time, it’s where the action never stops.

If you’re dreaming of becoming the next big streamer, finding a community of likeminded gamers, or simply curious, don’t miss out on this chance to learn how streaming gameplay content works and how to increase your visibility.

Participants will learn about:

  • Twitch, its algorithms, and how to get started.
  • The art of building loyal audiences and strategies for monetisation.
  • Supercharging the streaming experience using tools and interoperability with other gaming platforms, like OBS Studio.

About the Facilitator:

Albert Ong is the founder of Tinkery, an edTech social startup aiming to make hands on learning accessible through creative prototyping kits and courses. Albert has over a decade of experience as a hybrid mechatronics engineer, biotechnologist and interaction designer, and has worked on a range of industry and research projects ranging from art installations at Vivid Sydney, rehabilitative games and exoskeletons, bioreactors, drones, makerspaces, industrial robots, facility management systems, green architecture, and speculative and futures design projects.

Cost: $8.50

Age: 16+

Skill level: No previous experience is neccessary.
