About this Event
OMC's free, in-person training will cover a variety of topics to bolster journalism skills and improve mental health outcomes. The daylong event with breakfast and lunch will be at The Verge OKC in the Citizen, a new 12-story building located next to the Oklahoma City National Memorial.

From Stress to Solutions: Understanding and Activating Newsroom Wellbeing
Info: Samantha Ragland, vice president of journalism programs for the American Press Institute, will present on how to deal with burnout, process trauma experienced on the job and develop healthy ways to manage stress with guidance from a subject expert, Elana Newman, the research director for the University of Tulsa’s Research Lab for the Dart Center for Journalism and Trauma.
