Medford United Methodist Church "Will and Harper" Movie Night

In observance of Transgender Awareness Week, November 13th thru November 19th, the church will be hosting a movie night showing “Will & Harper” on Saturday evening of the 15th ( time TBD ). This is a free event, and light refreshments will be provided. Will &Harper is an award-winning documentary. “When Will Ferrell finds out his close friend of 30 years is coming out as a trans woman, the two decide to embark on a cross-country road trip to process the new stage of their relationship in an intimate portrait of friendship and transition.” The movie has its comedic elements but is also thought provoking and helps demonstrate the sensitivities of a trans person navigating their new place among friends, family and the world.

A time for brief discussion will follow the movie.

Doors open 6:00 p.m.

This is an “R” rated movie for language and alcohol use with mature themes surrounding transgender topics. Common Sense Media rates this movie for those 15 years and older.
