Medaille Trust Fundraising Walk (South)
About this Event
This lovely and very easy walk starts in the beautiful historic town of Bradford-upon-Avon and follows the Kennet and Avon canal along its towpath following a beautiful steep sided valley, crossing the river Avon twice on aqueducts. The canal is elevated above the river, giving nice views throughout and finishes in Georgian Bath.
You can walk the canal’s stunning surroundings at your own pace and there’s also an abundance of wildlife, good fishing and plenty of rest stops along the way.
The starting point will be at Bradford-on-Avon train station, there will be a short 8-minute walk to The Locke Inn Cafe to the start of the canal and the walk will finish at Bath Spa train station.
For those travelling by train, you will need to head to Bradford-on-Avon train station and Bath Spa runs on the same line, so you can either return to Bradford-on-Avon or make your way home from there.
For those travelling by car, there is plenty of parking at Bradford-on-Avon station car park (Zone B) which is open 24/7.
We are currently looking into coaches and if you would be interested in this, please let us know in the booking form.
