Shane Krueger, a fellow Appleton native, was the longtime owner of Appleton Imports, a record store that served as a hub for diehard music lovers for decades.David Jackson’s connection to both men runs deep. He met Sosnowski in 2013, shortly after his sobriety began, and the two formed a strong friendship through photography. Jackson first met Krueger in 1995at Appleton Imports, bonding over music. Though they lost touch, they reconnected in 2018—only for Jackson to realize that Sosnowski and Krueger had been longtime friends until addiction drove them apart.Determined to reunite them, Jackson spent four years encouraging their reconnection.In early 2024, Appleton Imports quietly closed, marking the end of an era for the local music scene and adding a deeper significance to this journey.
