Award winning Choreographer Shaun Parker will lead a master class for dancers titled ‘Meaning, Movement and Dramaturgy.’
Parker will share his process for devising original dance theatre and the tools he engages to create non-verbal storytelling through the body.
The workshop will utilise concepts from psychology and human behaviour as the instigation of creating material for performance, alongside bespoke tasks that facilitate the ‘devising’ of choreographic material.
A warm-up will be led by Company dancer Joel Fenton to ensure all dancers are warmed and ready for the choreographic intensive that follows.
This school holiday workshop is suitable for dancers aged 14+ with a strong interest in developing their choreographic practice.
Workshop is 5 hours including a 1-hour lunch break. Lunch will be provided with Gluten Free and Vegetarian options available.
