MEAN GIRLS at Northampton High School, Northampton, MA

The 2026 Musical at Northampton High School (Northampton, MA) is Mean Girls! This full-length School Edition of Mean Girls is a rock musical (book by Tina Fey, lyrics by Nell Benjamin, and music by Jeff Richmond) based on the 2004 film by Mark Waters. The musical centers on Cady, a teenage girl who transfers to a public high school after being homeschooled her whole life in Africa. At school, she befriends outsiders Janis and Damian who persuade her to infiltrate the "Plastics", a clique consisting of wealthy but insecure Gretchen, sweet but dimwitted Karen, and "queen bee" Regina. You'll not want to miss this musical about the hardships and superficiality of high school, and the ultimate triumph of embracing individuality & genuine friendships. Coming to our NHS stage in March of 2026!

This production features a live pit band and a cast of 46 NHS students! Three evening and one matinee shows will be presented. Director: David Grout; Musical Director: Susan Dillard; Choreographer: Elizabeth "Zazie" Tobey.

Run time is approximately 2 hrs with a 15-minute intermission.

Advanced tickets: $15 for general admission (plus fees); $10 senior citizens (plus fees); and $10 students (no fees).
