Meals & Mittens is the official kickoff event for Founder’s Day with Heaven Sent Homes: A Shelter of Hope, in partnership with Rise 365 and Lean On Us Foundation.
This community-centered event is dedicated to supporting our youth and families by providing a safe, warm, and uplifting space during the winter season. With no school on this day, we’re intentionally creating a place where kids can come together, feel supported, be fed, and enjoy positive energy.
The event will include:
• Free hot meals
• Hats, scarves, socks, mittens, and winter essentials
• Live DJ and music
• Community resources and outreach
• A welcoming, safe environment for youth and families
Meals & Mittens is more than a giveaway — it’s a statement. We want our community to know we are here in times of need, and that Heaven Sent Homes is committed to being a go-to resource and safe haven for youth.
We are calling on parents, guardians, educators, community leaders, and mentors to help spread the word. Share this event, talk to the children, and encourage them to come out. This day is about care, connection, and showing our young people that they are seen, supported, and valued.
Together, we are building trust, providing resources, and strengthening the foundation of our community — one meal, one mitten, and one moment at a time.
