🔎 CASE 001: The Secret of Evermore Manor
A Midnight Line M**der Mystery
You are cordially invited to an evening at Evermore Manor—but this is no ordinary gathering.
Evelyn Whitlock has assembled an unusual collection of family members, associates, historians, professionals, and acquaintances. Each has a reason for being there. Each knows something the others don't. And before the evening is over, a mystery will unfold that turns every guest into part of the investigation.
The Morristown Mystery Society invites you to experience an evening where you don't simply watch the story—you become part of it.
Throughout the night, you'll take on the role of a unique character, meet and question other guests, uncover physical evidence, follow hidden clues, solve puzzles, and piece together a mystery connected to Evermore Manor and the long-buried secrets of the Midnight Line.
But be careful.
Everyone has a story. Everyone has something to hide. And not everything you hear can be trusted.
🕯️ How Does It Work?
This isn't a stage performance where you sit and watch actors solve the crime. You are one of the characters.
Every ticket holder receives an individual role within the mystery. You'll use the information you know, the evidence you discover, and conversations with other characters to determine what really happened.
No acting experience is necessary, and there are no scripts to memorize. Whether you're outgoing and ready to interrogate everyone in the room or would rather quietly collect evidence and piece together the clues, there's a place for you in the story.
And you absolutely do not need to come with a group. One of the goals of The Morristown Mystery Society is to create experiences that bring our community together. Come with friends, come as a couple, or come on your own. By the end of the evening, you'll have plenty to talk about with the other investigators.
🎭 Your Character & What to Wear
After purchasing your ticket, you will be emailed a character summary along with costume suggestions so you'll know a little about who you'll be portraying before you arrive.
Dressing as your character is highly encouraged! Costumes add tremendously to the atmosphere and make the experience even more fun for everyone—but a full costume is not required.
Use what you already own, visit a thrift store, go all-out, or simply add a few accessories that fit your character. The goal is to have fun and step into the story.
Please keep your private character information to yourself before the event. After all, secrets are much more fun when they're discovered in person. 😉

Light snacks and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided.
Please note that this is an alcohol-free event.
🔞 This Event Is 18+
Although alcohol will not be served, all attendees must be at least 18 years old.
Each attendee will control an individual character and will need to independently read and interpret information, communicate with other players, solve puzzles, evaluate evidence, and make decisions throughout the investigation. Because every character plays an important role in keeping the mystery moving, this particular experience is designed for adults.
