About this Event

On October 23rd, M**der is on the menu and you’re a suspect. Use your killer instincts to uncover hidden secrets, deadly clues and prove your innocence. Secrets never stay buried for long, and we’re dying to know who can get away with M**der.

How it works: To participate in this event, players should assemble a team of 4 to 8 players, choose your party theme from the descriptions bellow, nominate a Team Leader to sign up your team up via Eventbrite, and you’ll be all set for a night of M**der and mayhem! We have curated a set of 5 M**der mystery games for you to choose from and will provide all the materials you need to solve the M**der. Once you sign up, you will be emailed the character guide and instructions for your chosen party theme.

This event has a special admission price! All players will see $12+HST added to their bills, granting everyone access to both the event, and our collection of 600+ board games before and after the event (provided there is space)! The team leader, who is the person that signs up the team for trivia, is required to pre-pay their admission for the night to hold the table (+HST and Eventbrite fees). The team leader will not be required to pay admission again at the event. All other players will pay at the time of checkout on the night of the event.

M**der Mystery Options:

1. A Feast to Die For

The Lesters were hosting another one of their fabulous dinner parties. It didn’t matter what the occasion…Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, Birthdays, Anniversaries, charity events, any excuse…the Lesters would celebrate. The invitation list was smaller than usual. The Lesters, and a few of their special family and friends were just about to sit down to enjoy the elaborate dinner Victoria Lester had prepared. The table was breathtaking. As usual Victoria had outdone herself. The diners toasted with a vintage bottle of red wine and sat down to eat. As the food was being passed around the table, Victoria started to choke and cough. Everyone rushed to her side in time to see her fall face first into her food. She was dead…her wine had been poisoned with sodium cyanide.

2. Beyond the Grave

Five years ago, Lorraine Lockwood, the wealthy wife of prestigious lawyer Anthony Lockwood, died in her home under mysterious circumstances. Family and friends have consented to meet for a séance at the Lockwood Mansion to solve the mystery surrounding Lorraine’s death.

3. Breaking Point

When the cold wind blows and the sky darkens across Breaking Point, mariners have told of hearing the eerie screams of the legendary “White Flowing Lady”. Faithfully and loyally Willard Dobbs upheld the family tradition and kept a light glowing nightly in the old stone tower. On that fateful night, the sea rose and as the sky grew dark, the fog moved in. For the first time in two hundred years there was no light in the Breaking Point Lighthouse. For those who ventured out, there was nothing to guide or protect them from the vicious sea. Willard Dobbs’ body was found sprawled at the top of the lighthouse staircase. He had been murdered.

4. Winner Take All

It happened in Wizard’s Casino in Las Vegas. The Bank manager, Chuck Mavery, was partaking in his favourite obsession…gambling…and having the biggest winning streak of his life. The crowd gathered around the craps table where he was playing, to watch the excitement. Suddenly, a scuffle broke out. Chuck grabbed his neck and fell to the floor. He had a small puncture and blood on the side of his neck. He was paralyzed and could not talk. Within minutes, Chuck had succumbed to the deadly effects of a rare poison, curare. His luck had run out.

5. The Tangled Web

*Note that this games is rated ages 18+

It happened in The Cyber Place Café a high end Internet Café where you can browse the web or catch some jazz, blues, or rock and roll. Up until tonight, you knew each other only by your ‘alias’. You have been having intimate ‘parties’ on-line in your private chat room, “The Steam Room”, for about a year now, but never in person. You finally, after all this time, decided to meet to celebrate the on-line engagement of ‘Love_King’ and ‘Zenia’.

It was during cocktails that the lights went out. Immediately after, a serving tray of glasses fell crashing to the floor. When the lights went back on the waiter and a Black Widow spider were lying on the floor. Both were dead. Someone reached into the dead waiter’s pocket and looked into his wallet. His name was Alfred Weekes. How could that be…Alfred Weekes ‘Love_King’ is right here sitting with you and very much alive. Or is he…
