The Northern State University Art Department excitedly invites you to our Spring Exhibition and Awards Celebration on March 6, 2026 from 6:00-8:00PM, featuring the McQuillen Creative Group Annual Juried Student Art Exhibition, Friends of the Arts Celebration, and Spring Visiting Artist Series. The McQuillen Creative Group Annual Juried Student Art Exhibition, featuring over forty outstanding student artworks, was juried by Liz Heeren, Director of Ipso Gallery at Fresh Produce in Sioux Falls and Lecturer at the University of South Dakota. The Awards Ceremony will begin at 6:30PM, with a brief Juror’s Statement. The Juried Show will be on view in Gallery X in the Johnson Fine Arts Center through March 27. The evening also marks the closing reception for Always a Student, an exhibition by the NSU Art Galleries Spring Visiting Artists, Mark Stemwedel and Michael Aasness, in JFAC Gallery at the Johnson Fine Arts Center. We are excited to highlight the exceptional talent of our Northern State University students, regional artists, and support from our community through this celebration! Hors d’oeuvres and beverages will be provided.
