Join us in decorating our first ever sponsored Christmas tree in downtown Southern Pines! Our tree will be located on W. Pennsylvania Ave between Saylor St. and US 1 across from the Fire Department.We begin at the MCDP office at 175 W New Hampshire St (lower level suite 11) at 4:00 to gather for some hot cocoa, cookies, and to walk down to our tree to decorate. Please bring 1-2 ornaments to help decorate our tree themed "Peace, Justice, and Joy” – Combine traditional holiday ideals with Democratic values; ornaments could symbolize peace doves, equality signs, community hearts, or anything American flag related.
If you prefer not to walk the 4-5 blocks from the office to the tree please feel free to join us near the location of the tree around 4:30.
Want to contribute an ornament but can't be there to decorate? Please feel free to drop off any donations to the office Tuesday 10-2 or Thursday 2-4 before our event.
If you are able to please bring an unwrapped toy for our toy drive for Toys for Tots!
