This event will be hosted by NAMI Homefront Warriors. At NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) they believe mental illness is an involuntary, complex, biophysical injury to the brain from trauma, illness, hereditary factors, adverse environmental influences, or preventable lifestyle consequences. They believe RECOVERY IS POSSIBLE! Find out more from NAMI at https://namihenryfayette.org/.
November is Military Family Appreciation month and this walk will be used to highlight the military family. The NAMI Homefront Warriors want to promote that family members, veterans and active duty military personnel are all viable members of our community and through their sacrifice and service alone deserve our support including, mental health support.
The McDonough Walking Club invites you to our monthly Weekend Wellness Health initiative, supported by the District 4 Department of Public Health. We aim to promote physical activity for McDonough citizens regardless of their fitness level.
